Application forms and guidance

These applications should only be used by intermediaries to open accounts.

The forms for Fund and Fund Related Structures are available for Intermediary introduced business in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Gibraltar.

If you are opening an account for the main fund, Collective Investment scheme (CIS) entity or a Co-Invest entity, you will be provided with various dropdowns for you to select depending whether the entity you are opening is a Limited Partnership, Limited Company or Unit Trust.

If you are opening an account associated with the overall fund structure e.g. General partner, SPV or Fund Manager, you will be provided with various dropdowns for you to select depending on whether the entity you are opening is a Limited Partnership, Limited Company, Limited Liability Partnership or a Unit Trust.

The forms for Company and Trusts (excluding all Fund related structures) are available for Intermediary introduced business in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Gibraltar.

Corporate mandates

Our corporate mandates are available by entity type tabs and include guidance notes for the various legal entities. In addition to covering the operation of the customer's bank account(s), our mandates also cover use of electronic banking services, entering into foreign exchange or money market deposit transactions online and use of SWIFT or other electronic communications services.

The Corporate mandates included on this site are the more frequently requested mandates used by our Intermediary customers. We also maintain a comprehensive suite of mandates covering other jurisdictions, e.g. Delaware, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands etc and entity types such as Protected Cell Companies, LLCs, Foundations etc which are available on request.

The mandates are produced in a PDF format that can be completed on-screen, saved and then printed off for final completion/sign off.

Our Company mandates are suitable for use with those entities incorporated in RBS International’s home jurisdictions, namely Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar and the United Kingdom.

The Company mandates are also suitable for use with some foreign entities, including a BVI Business Company, Cayman Exempted Company, Netherlands BV and CV, Bermudan Limited Company and Maltese Private Limited Company. For other foreign jurisdictions, please speak to your usual contact at the Bank who will advise you on whether we have a bespoke mandate available.

Company mandates

Customer Appointing Intermediary Mandate Company

Simplified version of the Company mandate for client entities managed/controlled by the intermediary with the signing arrangements pointing exclusively to the intermediary’s standard authorised signatory list.

Company Customer Mandate

Standard Company mandate for use with the intermediary’s own accounts or for a client entity which has non-standard signing arrangements, e.g. an external director has signing authority along with the intermediary’s own authorised signatories.

Our Limited Partnership mandates cover those entities incorporated in RBS International’s home jurisdictions namely Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar and the United Kingdom. They are also suitable for use with Limited Partnerships incorporated in some foreign jurisdictions, namely Cayman, Malta and Bermuda. For other foreign jurisdictions, please speak to your usual contact at the Bank who will advise you on whether we have a bespoke mandate available.

Limited Partnership (GP is a Company) Appointing Intermediary Mandate

Intermediary version of the Limited Partnership mandate (where the General Partner is a Company) where the signing arrangements point exclusively to the intermediary’s standard authorised signatory list.

Limited Partnership (GP is a Company) Mandate

Standard Limited Partnership mandate (where the General Partner is a Company) where there are non standard signing arrangements, e.g. the GP directors/managers have signing authority on their own or together with the intermediary’s own authorised signatories.

Limited Partnership (GP is a LLP) Appointing Intermediary Mandate

Intermediary version of the Limited Partnership mandate (where the General Partner is a Limited Liability Partnership) where the signing arrangements point exclusively to the intermediary’s standard authorised signatory list.

Limited Partnership (GP is a LLP) Mandate

Standard Limited Partnership mandate (where the General Partner is a Limited Liability Partnership) where there are non standard signing arrangements, e.g. the members have signing authority on their own or together with the intermediary’s own authorised signatories.

Limited Liability Partnership Appointing Intermediary Mandate

The Intermediary version of the Limited Liability Partnership mandate where the signing arrangements point exclusively to the intermediary’s standard authorised signatory list.

Limited Liability Partnership Mandate

Standard Limited Liability Partnership mandate for use with the intermediary’s own accounts or for a client entity which has non standard signing arrangements, e.g. the members have signing authority on their own or together with the intermediary’s own authorised signatories.

Our Corporate Trustee mandates are suitable for use where the corporate trustee is incorporated in one of RBS International’s home jurisdictions namely, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar and United Kingdom. If incorporated in a foreign jurisdiction, please speak to your usual contact at the Bank who will advise you on whether we have a bespoke mandate available.

Sole Corporate Trustee

Where a sole corporate trustee has been appointed please use either the standard or appointing intermediary version of our Limited Company mandate, depending upon the signing arrangements in place.

Corporate Trustee Mandates

Joint Corporate Trustees Appointing Intermediary Mandate

For use where both Corporate Trustees are affiliates of the same intermediary operating off the intermediary’s standard authorised signatory list. This type of arrangement is common with Property Unit Trust structures.

Joint Corporate Trustees Mandate

For use where two independent or non-related Corporate Trustees are appointed as Co or Joint Trustees of a Trust or Settlement.
