Remote access fraud

What is remote access fraud?

A remote access scam is either when a pop-up appears in your browser claiming your device has a virus and stating that if you click the link, they can remove the virus from your device.

Alternatively it can be a person calling claiming they work for the bank and that we need to connect to your device to stop a fraudulent transaction happening on your account. They'll then gain access to your device to access personal information and/or to steal money from your account.

Tips on how to spot remote access fraud
