Mortgage appointment checklist

To apply you must be 18+ and resident in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Gibraltar.
Your home or property may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

What you'll need for your mortgage appointment

Proof of identity

• Proof of identity, such as a passport or driving licence.

Bank statements

• 3 months bank statements for your main bank account.
• 3 months bank statements for any personal or business current accounts you have with other financial institutions.

Payslips

• 3 recent payslips from your current employer.

Mortgage statements

• Statements for any existing mortgages that you have.

Rental income information

• Details of any rental income you currently receive.

Credit card or store card statements

• 3 months statements for any credit cards or store cards that you currently have.

Your advocate details

• Your advocate's details, including address, email and telephone number.

Self-employed applicants

If you're self-employed, a sole trader or a limited company director we'll also need to see:

• 3 months business bank statements
• 2 years audited accounts certified by an accountant and signed by you
