How do we help our customers with hearing difficulties over the phone?

How do we help our customers with hearing difficulties over the phone?

We are committed to providing excellent service that is accessible to everyone. You can access our telephone banking services or apply for products using Text Relay via our minicom numbers.

If you are unable to locate a minicom number to connect with the Text Relay service you can dial 18001 before any of our phone numbers to be connected.

What is Text Relay?

Text Relay is a form of communication where an assistant will relay phone conversations between a text user and a phone user. You would type your questions to an advisor within Text Relay, who would then read this out to the person/company you wish to communicate with. The advisor would then type the response back to you the customer.

To make Text Relay calls from a text phone, add 18001 before the number you are calling.

You can find out more about Text Relay services from the websites such as www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk(opens in a new window) or ngts.org.uk/(opens in a new window).
